Classroom Rules

  1. Respect others; treat others, as you want to be treated.
  2. Be responsible for our classroom.
  3. Be positive, polite, and helpful, and use kind words only.
  4. Do what is asked, the first time.
  5. Ask permission first.

  • Have a positive, safe, and caring classroom environment
  • Help and support from our teachers
  • Have input on where our desk is
  • Work in the hallway when appropriate
  • Wear hats in class on Fridays

Rewards for Following the Rules

¨      Marble Jar!

MARBLE JAR: When the class, a group of students, or an individual does something great (such as following the rules and routines very well, excellent effort or results in lessons or on assignments, demonstrating school spirit, or acts of kindness) I will put a marble in the marble jar.  Once we fill up the jar, the class earns a popcorn movie party!

Academic Expectations

  1. Give your best effort in all subject areas.
  2. Complete and submit assignments and homework on time.
  3. If you are unable to meet a deadline for a good reason, speak to your teacher yourself to create an alternate plan.
  4. Organize your school work and materials.
  5. Prepare adequately for quizzes, tests, and presentations.

STUDENTS: We have read this constitution and understand it.  We will honour it while in the classroom. 

TEACHER: I will be fair and consistent in administering this constitution.
