Hi Parents,
Is it too soon to say that Spring is finally here?! (Fingers crossed we’re done with snow…)
With the Spring sunshine comes a lot of excitement and anticipation for all of the fun things we have planned at the end of the year.
First order of business is to get into the serious planning for our Outdoor Ed overnight trip which runs from Tuesday, June 2nd to Thursday, June 4th.
We are changing the format this year. Instead of camping in tents, we will be attending Dallas Valley Ranch Camp, (15 minutes out of the city) where we have cabins and other indoor spaces to use in case of rain (no more soggy sleeping bags!). J
We will be hosting a short informational meeting for parents on Tuesday, May 5th at 7:00 pm in our school’s library. Here, you will be able to get more details about the trip, ask questions, and even sign up to be a volunteer. J
We are hoping all students will be able to attend the trip—students always have so much fun and there is so much to learn in the great outdoors!
Parents are encouraged to come to the meeting, especially if you have never had a family member attend Outdoor School before. The meeting is also a good place for you to discuss any special needs (diet, sleep arrangements, etc.) that we may need to consider to make the trip a success for your child.
