Wednesday's Agenda Notes

Track and Field tomorrow.  Be ready to run rain or shine. Please review the note below from Mrs. Seymour:

·         There will be a concession in the senior boot room.

·         All students that signed up for the 1500 m race must be stretched and ready to race at 8:30 am.  Meet Mr. Sweeney by the garbage can in the bowl.

·         You must participate in the events that you signed up for unless you have a note from your parents/doctor excusing you from participating.

·         If you are not participating at the event your age/gender group is at, you are expected to sit off to the side and cheer on those that are participating.

·         If you need to go to the washroom, get a drink, or buy things from the concession, ASK the teacher supervisor at the event that your group is at before you leave.

·         If you miss an event due to being at the washroom/drink break/concession, too bad!  Be aware of the time your events are scheduled for.

·         Please be mindful of the running events and stay off the track when your group is transitioning to another event.  Inside the bowl will be the short distance races and the track on the outside will be used to run the long distance races.

·         When your group is finished an event, they can move on to the next one on the schedule, even if it is earlier than the time stated on the schedule.

·         Come prepared for the potential rainy weather because we will continue with the meet regardless.  That includes bringing bug spray, water bottles, hats, jackets, and proper footwear.

·         You must wear shoes at all the events; no spikes.

·         For all running events, you get one chance to run your race.  For all field events, you will get 2 or 3 attempts.

·         High jump will take place in the gymnasium; use the outside gym door to enter from the playground.

·         Respect each other, all volunteers, and teachers.

·         Please refer to the schedule/map that each group will be given to navigate for the day.  Keep this with the group throughout the day and hand back to Mrs. Seymour at the end of the day.

·         All ribbons will be handed out on Monday.  Douglas Park participants will be identified by next Wednesday.

·         HAVE FUN!
